Is it because the only sports that matter to him are golf, basketball, and smoking?

"Sport" is defined as "an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc." (Dictionary.com)

I have seen on Yahoo Answers, people saying BMX racing, Table Tennis, Equestrian events, and Synchronized Swimming and Diving are not sports. Cheerleading (even though not an Olympic Sport) has also been said to not be a sport to some people.

If you use the definition of "sport" (above) how would these events not qualify as sports?
Do you feel skateboarding is a sport?
Would you like to see Skateboarding, Cheerleading or American Football added as sports to the Summer Olympics?

My Dad and I have always dreamed about taking a fishing trip to Alaska someday. I have noticed over the last few months that although my Dad is still healthy and active he is slowing down a little bit. I want to make this dream a reality for my Dad, but I don’t have an unlimited budget to take the trip, so I need to find the best deal possible, I made the decision to plan the trip yesterday so I have done just a little bit of looking around on the internet, but I know that with all of the brilliant people at Yahoo! If fish feel pain (as previous Yahoo Answers have opined), doesn’t it mean that a fish, getting hooked by a sharp object in the mouth (fish hook) and being yanked up to hundreds of feet by it, would suffer severe discomfort?
And if that’s true, shouldn’t fishing as a sport be discouraged?

My boyfriend is 12 and I’m 14,my cousin needs help to she’s 12 and her boyfriends 11,but her yahoo account got deleted….got any ideas….they like hunting,fishing, and sports.

Tried once, never getting back on Yahoo sports, except fishing, where people are civilized. Opinions are like?, everybody has one, and fans have too many. What does that make them?

It’s not under food and drink…it’s not under sports…its not under games and recreation.

I think yahoo should have Hunting catagory and subcatagories like archery, rifle range, trap shooting, reloading…ext.

For fishing they should have salt water, lakes and streams, fly fishing…ext.

I don’t know where to start but I am looking for a bay charter for two days next fri. And sat. Any suggestions would be appriciated. I have found a lot for 400 for eight hours but I want to get a good one and yahoo questions hasn’t failed me yet.
