Ok, so i made a dumb mistake of buying tropical fish flake food instead of goldfish flake food because I was careless of seeing what kind it was in the package. I wasted money on it and i don’t know what to do with it. Is it safe to feed it to my goldfishes anyway?

Tomorrow I’m getting up very early in the morning and heading out with my dad to long beach island, new jersey to go fishing on a charter boat. We do this maybe once or twice a year and always have a blast. We just never catch anything worth while. Is there something we should be doing to catch more fish? (baits, style) Also, what could I bring to make it an even better trip? It’s one of those charter boats that goes out 2 or 3 times a day with a boat load of people and there is usually a pool you can throw some money in and the biggest catch gets the cash. Would be great to win that with my dad.

The story “On the rainy river” by Tim O’Brien is about himself as a young man, who is drafted for the Vietnam war and flees because he plans to escape over the border to Canada.
Tim O’Brien tells a story he never told anyone before because he still feels ashamed about it although it happened over twenty years ago.
He was against the Vietnam war and he wrote articles about it in his student magazine. When he received his draft notice in 1968 when he was 21 he was shocked. He didn’t want to fight in this war he hated and he was afraid.
He spent the summer working in a meatpacking plant and he describes what he did and that he couldn’t wash away the smell of dead pigs. He still thought about the draft notice and it occurred to him to escape to Canada. He knew that his family would be ashamed of him, that everybody would talk about him and that he never could go back into his old life, but he also knew that this war was wrong. One day he left his job, packed his suitcase and wrote a note for his family. He drove to the Canadian border and when he arrives at the “Tip Top Lodge” the owner, Elroy Berdal, took him in without asking questions. He seemed to know that Tim was in trouble. He stayed six days at the lodge where he was the only guest. In this time he thought about swimming across the river and entering Canada, but he was torn.
One night Tim and Elroy were sitting together and Elroy decided that Tim had not to pay for his stay because of the little jobs he did at the lodge and that Elroy owes him 150 dollars and in the end Elroy gave him 200 dollars even though Tim didn’t want to take the money.
On Tim’s last day at the lodge they went out in a boat and Elroy steered it close to the border where he pretends to be entirely concentrated on his fishing. Tim doesn’t know if he should swim to Canada or go back and he starts to cry. In this moment he realises that he could not go to Canada because he would disappoint so many people. Elroy pretends not to notice Tim’s crying even when it gets louder and after a while he steered the boat back to the lodge.
The next morning Elroy disappeared after breakfast. Tim left the 200 dollars Elroy gave to him in the kitchen. He went home and later to Vietnam.

I don’t mean only mistakes in the spelling but also grammar and style.

The IRS has a "Hobby Rule" make money 3 out of 5 years.
What happens if you lose money 4 of 5 years? or lose 5 of 5 years. If you own a yacht charter fishing business, that is one thing but what about a startup company like Mortgage that is not fun!

I propose this question, in reference to, "Give a man a fish feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, and feed him for life." Do you believe the stimulus package is really what this country needs? How do you think our government, would do better to fix, our situation? Let me know what you think.
Just to clarify, I am not a republican. I whole heartidly support Obama.
This is a question of reality. I asked this question as a portal, to open discussion on other solutions.
Ultimately when we get our stimulus checks, most are going to go out there and buy those toys, they couldn’t otherwise afford. Don’t believe me, take a poll around the cooler monday. In effect, instead of the government giving big corporations money, they have given it to us to chose who we will give the money to.
Watch tv, look at the ads in newspapers. Everyone has a special deal for you to come in to thier stores and spend your stimulus checks.
Within no time this money will be gone and what did we really gain. I just believe that if we spent money on retraining, maybe developing skills. This country can truly survive, and grow stronger.

My friend and i are considering buying a boat to go fishing in waters near our houses in new york. (mostly calm water) We are not sure what kind of boat to get. Keep in mind we are only teenagers with limited money looking to spend no more than 0. i know sports authority has a canoe for this price but am not sure if this would be ideal for fishing. There are also numerous "inflatable boats". Now i dont know if i should trust this because of the fear that it may pop. Any good cheap boats that you guys are aware of? What kind of boat should we pursue?

I have a degree in Psychology and Marketing. Along with this I have several years of customer service experience.

However, I do not want to be a Psychologist and if I am going to market something I want it to be something I love…which is fishing!

I’d love nothing more than to simply start my own charter fishing business but with my existing student debt getting the money to do so would be nearly impossible.

That being said the next best thing would be to work for/with an established charter fishing business.

Last night I was talking to a friend and he has a friend who owns a hunting lodge and a fenced in area with very large deer in it . One of these deer will score 300B&C and if you bring a check for 30K you can kill this deer.This really does not bother me,people can spend their money however they want,but it does not seem much like hunting to me .Maybe I can go to Bass Pro Shops and catch a world record bass out of their fish tank. What do you think about this?
