In "The Simpsons". There was this show called "Little Big Mom" where it was the year 2000, and it was Season 11.

Marge gets her leg broken inside a ski lodge.

Lisa Simpson takes the role of Marge while Marge is in the hospital with her broken leg healing.

One of the systems Lisa comes up with is a "chore hat" where Homer reaches in and is supposed to do the chore he pulls out of the hat on a slab of paper.

ANYWAY, as Homer reaches in the hat he says "Come on bikini inspector… Scrub toilet. Ok that was a practice." He reaches in again and keeps saying "Practice.. Practice.. Ok here we go FEED FISH."

What I don’t understand, is why was Homer so intent on getting the "bikini inspector" job. What was he supposed to do if he got the "bikini inspector" job? Insect women’s bikinis from a drore or inspect women’s bikini WHILE the women are wearing them?

I don’t get it.
Could someone please inform me?
What did he expect to get to do with the "bikini inspector" chore?

The story “On the rainy river” by Tim O’Brien is about himself as a young man, who is drafted for the Vietnam war and flees because he plans to escape over the border to Canada.
Tim O’Brien tells a story he never told anyone before because he still feels ashamed about it although it happened over twenty years ago.
He was against the Vietnam war and he wrote articles about it in his student magazine. When he received his draft notice in 1968 when he was 21 he was shocked. He didn’t want to fight in this war he hated and he was afraid.
He spent the summer working in a meatpacking plant and he describes what he did and that he couldn’t wash away the smell of dead pigs. He still thought about the draft notice and it occurred to him to escape to Canada. He knew that his family would be ashamed of him, that everybody would talk about him and that he never could go back into his old life, but he also knew that this war was wrong. One day he left his job, packed his suitcase and wrote a note for his family. He drove to the Canadian border and when he arrives at the “Tip Top Lodge” the owner, Elroy Berdal, took him in without asking questions. He seemed to know that Tim was in trouble. He stayed six days at the lodge where he was the only guest. In this time he thought about swimming across the river and entering Canada, but he was torn.
One night Tim and Elroy were sitting together and Elroy decided that Tim had not to pay for his stay because of the little jobs he did at the lodge and that Elroy owes him 150 dollars and in the end Elroy gave him 200 dollars even though Tim didn’t want to take the money.
On Tim’s last day at the lodge they went out in a boat and Elroy steered it close to the border where he pretends to be entirely concentrated on his fishing. Tim doesn’t know if he should swim to Canada or go back and he starts to cry. In this moment he realises that he could not go to Canada because he would disappoint so many people. Elroy pretends not to notice Tim’s crying even when it gets louder and after a while he steered the boat back to the lodge.
The next morning Elroy disappeared after breakfast. Tim left the 200 dollars Elroy gave to him in the kitchen. He went home and later to Vietnam.

I don’t mean only mistakes in the spelling but also grammar and style.

I have read most of the guides on the web but still feel somewhat uncertain of some aspects.
1. How does one follow the different salmon peak weeks?
2. Do you just quit work and then travel to the new region or make sure you have a job before you set out?
3. What happens to the money they would have given you to fly up there?
4. How lenient are they on the alcohol/drug policy?

I am looking into the fishing industry for a job while I go to college and afterwards. Deep sea fish on a charter boat (the ones that it costs like 500 bucks to go out on) I was wondering how much per week would I get paid. I don’t think its hourly pay but I just need an estimated idea

Lets say I were to charge /person for 2 hrs. The lakes are in Fresno, Cali Pine Flat Reservoir and Millerton Lake. Would it be worth it in the long run? I’m only making 0/wk at my current job.

I am planning on a very low budget working holiday trip to New Zealand, so I’ll need to cut some costs on accommodation.

So where do you guys usually stay at? Hostel? Apt? How much is the rent? Websites and personal experiences will help! : )

Also, and other areas where I could cut costs….like food and travel?

My boyfriend used to be the fly-fishing guide at the resort where we met. He worked there for two years and lost his job. I really believe he’s amazing for this job. He’s so helpful, patient, and a good instructor, he has so much experience with it and people respect him because they recognize quickly that he knows what he’s talking about. I’m really sad he doesn’t do this anymore. His friend tried to start a guide service but in this state there is no business, so his friend moved to Colorado and is doing great. He didn’t want to leave me for that, so here he is. Does anyone have any experience with this type of job or business and could help?

I want to move up to Alaska to work on a fishing boat what are some stagy into finding a employer. And is it hard to find a job, also is it possible to find jobs with fishing lodges?
