I know it it probably crazy fly fishing for rainbows this time of year but i just got a new fly rod that i want to try out. Im fishing in the green river. Just name a fly that might get me something this time of year. Thanks for the help!

has anyone purchased the Reddington Crosswater combination or the Scientific Angler combo package 5-6 weight? What do you think of it? I want to start fly fishing but do not want to purchase a 0-0 rig. If I enjoy it, I can always pass this rod on to my son and purchase the sage or something like that.

My boyfriend and I would like to, sometime this summer, go to Nova Scotia, and go one a fly fishing trip. I am not a fisher myself, but love the outdoors and I have always wanted to go camping, tent and everything! I need some advice on how to go about planning. Can you rent tents? How do you find a place to camp near lakes, rivers, etc.

I can’t afford an mri or surgery and don’t have insurance. My doctor gave me exercises but they are not really helping. It’s been a year. I can still do some sports like hockey and fly-fishing and some golf but no way could I get back to volleyball or softball or anything that puts a lot of stress on the shoulder. Am I further complicating things by letting my shoulder go this long without surgery?

my dad says that the real talent in fishing is fly fishing.is it worth the time to learn how to fly fish it seems there is much talent to learn in this sport.i shore fish know rod and reel but i always watch the guys fly fishing and i like to hang out in the water so is it worth it

So many kinds of pole, rods, system….. how dose anyone know what is best for their style of FLY FISHING?? Moreover dose it matter than the fly and presentation?

I thought fishing for wild trout was hard enough!! Trying to learn and understand what is truth verves…… Marketing, PR, and BS is far to hard for me!!

Is anything true or really make any differences? What Fly rod and line i.e. balanced system is good for small trout on small rivers?

I have some guest from out of the country. Who want to go fly-fishing this August in Califorina. Need to know what flyies, rivers and spots are good and bad this time of year. Would like to ONLY fish RIVERS for TROUT with in, 6 HOURS of LA, like the Kern, King and Merced rivers. Also need info on guides, cabins or motels. Thank you.

howdy again … while fly fishing in the cold, i have noticed that ice will sometimes get in the guides of my pole like the last two guides, the end one and the next one down. can you do anything about this?? i have heard you can spray PAM on the pole but will this do antyhing to the line? what about that goop you can smear on the guides?

Me and my buddy have been wanting to go on a fly fishing trip out west for the past couple of years but have never really decided on where to go. We would like to go to Montana, but I’m just not real sure where to go there. I don’t really want a guide service, but we’re only 21, so we can’t rent a car and drive where we want. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We live in North Carolina.
