Why does people in US, Europe, Austrialia grill to watch sports?

I have two friend in Europe he says there too they now grilling before a game.

I know the same also, but in much more, happens in USA, and other countrys. That is an argentine tradition that started when before playing Pato (horseball, our national sport), they would eat a cooked cow from the ground, the old way of doing grill.

Ever since that tradition went to our football and rugby so people cook meat to watch games.

I don’t know why now in other countries they do this. You should maybe boil vegetables or catch a fish, but grilling for sports is OUR tradition! Find your own…
Of course it’s our tradition, we had gauchos and cows tradition before US colonized and much before Australia, and they not eat meat like that in Europe.

We eat more meat than any other country in world

Until some year ago, USA games had no grilling at games, that started after 1950. In Europe never grill until a few years ago….

Is there a place on Lake Erie that rents boats out (not charter fishing, actually renting a boat). Thanks!?

A friend is visiting from Australia and owns his own boat business and wants to take me out on Lake Erie for sailing. Obviously I don’t own a boat so we wanted to rent one. The only sites I am finding have the owners taking you out for charter fishing. Thanks!

What should I bring to New Zealand and Australia?

I am going to New Zealand first for 6 months roughly and then off to Australia for another 6 months. I am planning on bringing 1 suitcase (50 pounds max) and 1 carry-on. What should I bring??? I obviously can’t bring much but I will be gone for a whole year so need some help in determining what I actually need.

How long before New Zealand gets with the times and denotes football/soccer as its National sport?

Now that Australia have left the Oceania Football Confederation, New Zealand’s progress to the Inter-confederation play-offs is merely a formality. They will be favourites to qualify for next year’s World Cup after the claimed a 0-0 draw away to Bahrain.

Can i get my transit visa in New Zealand if i am visiting for 2 months and returning home via Australia?

Hi there, My question is this. I am flying from UK to New Zealand, and i am a South African citizen. My ticket leaving New Zealand is back to South Africa, however it might be via Australia, in which case i would need a transit visa. Will i be let into New Zealand without my transit visa to Australia? I plan on obtaining this transit visa when i am in New Zealand.

This is the weirdest country I have ever heard?

New Zealand! Yes, it is my home country and I love it but it’s just weird, haha, and it comes up with some of the funniest things. Maybe you should go visit? Is it safe? Well according to this

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_tot_cri_percap-crime-total-crimes-per-capita

it has the second highest crime rate in the world. Last year it was voted the 2nd safest country in the world. Go figure!

When I was there at Christmas I saw so many weird things that made me laugh.

While driving thorough Wellington at 1 in the morning, I witnessed drank people playing paper scissors rock! While driving into Palmerston North there were people at three in the morning eating fish and chips on the foot path and no, they weren’t bums!

How weird can you get!

The people there are so free-spirited. If only we had that here in Australia lol.

What do you guys think? What’s the weridest place you have ever been to?

This prediction sound about right?

In 10 years, the US will be seen how the UK is seen now. Still a big player, but no longer the biggest fish in the sea. In 25 years, it will be where Australia is. Still quite powerful, with a decent economy, but under-estimated in the eyes of the world. In 50 years ago, it will be where New Zealand is. Has managed to survive, as it takes advantage of a few niches, but ultimately, it is falling behind. In 100 years, Iran. It is out-dated and filled to the brim by the over-religious.
Does that sound about right?
PS I posted this in R&S, because I will get a more well-balanced response then I would in Politics.
